Pray about it

You know, it’s just better to do that. Pray.

Imagine if we took every decision, and prayed about it intentionally, humbling ourselves before God, then made that decision.

Sometimes prayer is even best thing to do rather than make that decision.

On a daily basis we seem to wrap up our many decisions in worry and all it does is stress us out and give us anxiety which doesn’t help the decision to be made at all. It may even push us to chose incorrectly.

But Jesus explains that there is no reason to worry in Matthew 6:25-34. And I can’t stop going back to that verse because it is just so Good.

My post tonight isn’t exactly organized or lengthy, but I feel that God has shown me that deciding to get involved in something requires prayer first before anything else.
Also, sometimes it’s better just not to get involved at all, but pray for those who are.

So I wanted to tell you this because we all lose sight of who’s making our world spin sometimes. It’s better to talk to the Creator who knows us all by name and loves us unconditionally, before we consult the world. And I learned that simple but powerful lesson tonight.

I’ll end with this quote, shown to me by a great mentor:

“It is possible to move men, through God, by prayer alone” - Hudson Taylor

God spoke with Moses face-to-face, as neighbors speak to one another. When he would return to the camp, his attendant, the young man Joshua, stayed-he didn’t leave the Tent.

Moses said to God, “Look, you tell me, ‘Lead this people,’ but you don’t let me know whom you’re going to send with me. You tell me, ‘I know you well and you are special to me.’ If I am so special to you, let me in on your plans. That way, I will continue being special to you. Don’t forget, this is your people, your responsibility.”

God said, “My presence will go with you. I’ll see the journey to the end.”
