Well this sucks...
Have your parents ever guilt tripped you into feeling horrible?
Well that happened today. To me.
Ever had someone plan something thoughtful for you, and you unintentionally make other plans and totally ruin the thoughtfulness?

So ever had a day that had so much promise and awesomeness within it, but a few mishaps turned it to a totally, overall suck-day?

I have been quite solid! Tonight not so much but we don’t need to go into that ha. Overall the summer’s been fantastic so far. Actually, a particular highlight of it was today when I played paintball with my church. How awesome is that?! haha

I am turning 20 next week:)
iPhone 4... here I come
So it’s about a quarter past five AM as I start to write this, and I cannot tell you how excited I am to the iPhone 4.
Forget the media hype, and problems with reception in some cases, this phone is a beast and I can’t wait to have one.
Blog-o-sphere, I hope you’re ready for many more blog posts, because with this new phone…. there definitely will be :)
i'm doing alright. i have AP tests coming up and i should be studying, but i'm kinda just procrastinating and i feel kinda bad about it. :/ tommorrow i have to take a US history test, but later on, things will be alright as i shall join my good friends for fellowship/bible study.
i think it was super sweet that you guys chopped your hair off to relate to your mom because it seems you guys LOVE your hair haha! but i think that's why our generation is disconnected to the sick or suffering, because we make little to no effort to experience what life's like in their shoes. we become to comfortable with how things are. what do YOU think?

In respose to your question, I think that you are right in a lot of aspects.
When I think of disconnected, I just kind of think about being out of touch with the world and the sufferings that go along with it. However, if we define it in that sense, I would say many generations before us have been disconnected as well
The reason racism exists today is because generation after generation before us has neglected to make proper amends or simply just stop using stupid words that are meaningless, and so it still exists today.
However, I have seen connection. While being in and out of the church, I have seen great things done in Missions, that love shown towards Haiti, and students starting to understand the hurt that disease brings to families and lives because their families are experiencing it. My family has experienced. I realize that as much as a curse this has been on our family it has also been a blessing. My mom has been able to touch and inspire so many lives; with modern medicine, treatment has become slightly less painful and more effective; and through this ordeal I have discovered our true friends who are committed to not only pray for my mom but look out for the well-being for the rest of us.
So are we disconnected? In many ways, absolutely. Just don’t forget that there is hope in each generation, there are people who are willing to put themselves in others shoes for the benefit of society… and that is something I can certainly connect with.

so me and my buddy have decided to start up a little side music project, and after about 36 hours of finagling I created this beauty. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and I’ve never created something in garage band, so I think it’s beautiful haha
